De dokter. Personage uit de commedia dell'arte. Vriend van Pantalone en afkomstig uit Bologna. Beiden spelen ook een rol in het marionettentheater. De figuur van de dokter
komt veelvuldig voor in negentiende-eeuwse Franse speelteksten.
